Shirley's Dream
In 1985, Shirley Martinelli opened the doors to what would become a beloved community institution. With nothing but her grandmother's recipes from Brooklyn, a wood-fired brick oven imported from Naples, and an unwavering commitment to quality, Shirley set out to bring authentic Italian pizza to our town.
The early days weren't easy. Shirley worked eighteen-hour days, hand-stretching every pizza and personally greeting every customer. But her dedication paid off. Word spread quickly about the incredible pizza coming from that small corner shop on Main Street. Lines formed out the door, and families began making Shirley's their Friday night tradition.
What made Shirley's special wasn't just the food—it was the warmth. Shirley knew her customers by name, remembered their favorite orders, and treated everyone like family. That spirit of genuine hospitality became the foundation of everything we do.
